Tomorrow, May 15th millions of photographers from around the world will join to take pictures of all manner of things, but mostly from their lives. It is one grand venture. A single solitary photo journal shared by millions. The ultimate instagram.
Have you signed up yet? H
urry over to ADay.org and get started. It is free to join, and you need not be a professional to do so. This can be a project for your kids, for your kid’s scouting group, or school group. Old. Young. Doesn’t matter. Take the pictures and upload away.
What kind of camera can be used? Everything from a Hasselblad to a mobile phone. Anything that you can get a picture taken with and uploaded to the ADay.org site.
What happens to all those pictures? All of them will be available for viewing online, and a very select few will be chosen for inclusion in a book to be published.
Why join? Lots of reasons. For yourself. For posterity. For your kids. For kicks. Why did I chose to participate? Because I think it just sounds pretty cool to look at pictures from around the world taken for a common project all on the same day.
Here’s a prediction: The web site will get overwhelmed by all the people wanting to upload their digital memories.

Wow! This sounds a big photographic event. Millions of photographers from all parts of the globe, and anyone can participate with any type of camera? That’s big! Even kids can participate in the event. How cool!
I think it sounds like a blast. My friend Steve Webel wrote about it last week and I decided to check it out, and ended up writing about it.
Sounds like a neat idea. Along these same lines, I’ve been taking more and more pictures with my cell phone of things I want to remember.
I think it sounds fun too. I’m planning on participating.
Oh, cool! How interesting! I don’t have a very good camera with which to take pictures, otherwise I’d be all over it:)
If you have a phone, use that too! The point is to just capture life.
If I had something interesting to take a picture of then I’d consider it. It is a cool idea though!
You have tons of interesting stuff. Just look around! Take tons of photos and the best ones will just rise to the top.
