Saturdays are for drinking coffee, going for a run, sitting with the Mad Men (our two rowdy Maltese), and sharing one thing I enjoyed reading this week.
A few weeks ago I drove back to Austin from Corpus Christi via Beeville. Beeville is the only place I have ever been to or through in my life that felt like a real honest to goodness boom town.
The new Texas oil explosion is happening there (among other places). It is full of men and women making good money doing manual labor. Skilled laborers are making very nice money indeed.
